Product Launch a Success from Collaboration
LONG ISLAND, NY September 21, 2016 – Angel Dough Ventures (www.AngelDough.com) a startup accelerator on Long Island, has collaborated with LaunchPad NYIT and NYIT, at New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, to produce personalized laser-engraved drinkware that has taken off with tremendous success.
“In less than a month, the response to the customized products has exceeded expectations with the sale of over 1,000 bottles. The resources available on NYIT’s campus allow for small businesses to see their ideas come to life,” said Andrew S. Hazen, Cofounder & CEO of Angel Dough Ventures. According to Hazen, “the collaboration with NYIT has been outstanding. Instead of purchasing and operating expensive equipment, we’ve collaborated with NYIT and its resources to launch our new product line while still operating as a lean startup.”
Jane Polizzi, Director of Administration and Operations at NYIT, spoke about the partnership saying, “The collaboration is the perfect example of a business and NYIT coming together to produce a product. Angel Dough Ventures sourced the product and NYIT’s Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC) utilized its laser engraving machine to personalize it. Working together we made a more saleable product. This is just one example of the ETIC’s capabilities”.
“Small businesses are continually looking for new avenues to develop new ideas, which we are open to exploring with them here at NYIT. In working with Angel Dough Ventures we have seen that tapping into all resources and experienced personnel has proven to be mutually beneficial to both the business and NYIT,” said David Fanning, Laboratory Engineer at NYIT
